DON'T BELIEVE "ITS NOT WHAT YOU SAY BUY HOW YOU SAY IT." In
sales you must master the proven top selling words. If not you be
one of over 1,000,000 sales rookies dropping out of this year, never
getting the opportunity to make sales a rewarding career. Using the
top selling words provides the salesperson a gigantic advantage. You
will not only save lots of prospecting and useless presentation
time, but it will automatically save you money. Using the correct
selling words in your prospect mailers will gain you more marketing
lead rates. This in turn will make you sales leap upward. More
prospects means more presentations, meaning more sales.
CHANCES
ARE that your agent training manager in 5 minutes could guess 20 and
hit maybe 9, but never 10 for 10....In fact when you are done
reading this article and you have a manager, give it a try. Next
check two additional places. First examine the company produced
sales script you had to learn word for word. Underline any that
appear, and how many. Last grab that fat presentation book you put
together and do the same. Ever why the rookies in your office always
outnumber the career agents.
HERE ARE THE FIRST FIVE. The most important word by far of the
top selling words is YOU. That why you want your sales piece and
presentation always sounds you and your prospect are having a
conversation, "how you will benefit. The next one is MONEY. Money
talks! Most of your prospects wish they made more money or a product
that either earned them money or one that in a bad situation saved
them from spending money. The last 3 of this first group are SATE,
RESULTS, and LOVE..
NOW THE NEXT FIVE. This group starts with EASY You have very few
prospects that want to buy something that is hard to use. The easier
to use concept in describing your product creates instant attention.
The next top selling word revealed is HEALTH. You can't buy health,
but prospects will buy enough products to improve or protect their
current health. Using the word FREE is one of my favorites. Because
each of your sales could be worth quite a bit, you should start
being more Free. Surely there is something Free your prospect can
receive for responding, like there is something free that can be
used at the beginning of a presentation. Oh don't forget these two
words, PROVEN and MORE.
THE FINAL SEVEN WORDS. These 7 key words round out the last of my
17 favorite top selling words. Start with the word YES. In selling
you must check both your sales lead piece and your presentation.
Make sure there is not one single question that can logically be
answered "no" or "I don't know" You sure want your doctor to answer
your questions that way. Until you can get yes answers for sure, ask
an opinion choice of which is preferable is a lot safer. The other
eight selling words are: GUARANTEE, NEW, HOW TO, MORE, SOLUTION,
BENEFIT, AND QUICK.
WRITE DOWN THESE 17 WORDS. Now tape them to the side of your
computer. Using your word processing computer program write a four
line sales conversation using as many as possible. Stop at the end
of 10 minutes and count how many you placed in you paragraph. The
magic number should be 10. Take a chunk of your personal
presentation and replace it with a natural flowing paragraph
containing 10 top selling words.
YOUR MAILING LEAD PROGRAM. Collect the next 10 advertising
postcards that you receive. On each one write at the bottom how many
top selling words are contained. Next compare the one with the most,
with the one with the least. Which would you be most inclined to
respond to. Finally check your current mailing lead program, then
see how changing a few words to the 17 here can change your response
and your sales career.
